About Shanna
I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of California and Missouri.* I am currently only accepting adult (non-minor) clients.
I utilize a combination of existential, solution-focused, and narrative therapy. Emphasis is on the importance of self-awareness and the transformative power of taking responsibility for creating your best life, with the task of finding practical solutions for making positive change.
My services are not a good fit for those struggling with thoughts of suicide, those who engage in extreme self-harm, those with active substance abuse concerns, or those diagnosed with a personality disorder. I believe these matters are better addressed in an in-person setting and by specialists focused on these areas of treatment.
By consenting to telehealth therapy with me, you are attesting that you are not currently fitting any of the above descriptions. If you experience thoughts of suicide with any intention to act on them, please call 911 or your local crisis hotline to request immediate, local, support.
Self-pay clients may request participation in services without receiving a mental health diagnosis. Insurance-based clients are often required to have a diagnosis assigned for reimbursement. I am partnered with Grow Therapy to deliver insurance-based services. Access to insurance-based services will be provided upon initial consultation.
*You must be physically located in the states of CA or MO during the time of your telehealth appointment.
CA License # 127327
